PANTHERS HOLD OFF BRONCOS IN DEFENSIVE STRUGGLE

Panthers got themselves a balanced attack that hit on all cylinders—171 rushing yards, 282 through the air, no turnovers—while the Broncos' anemic ground game (76 yards) meant they were one-dimensional, and one-dimensional teams find new ways to lose. Defense was the story here though: Panthers' front got after it with four sacks, and when a defense can generate that kind of pressure without needing the secondary to pick anybody off, that's a unit playing complete football—nothing to exploit, nothing to scheme around.
