Now, the Saints had their opportunities, they really did. Three points in this league is not insurmountable, and if they'd been able to manufacture even one scoring drive down the stretch, we're potentially looking at a different outcome. But here's what I saw: the Chargers' defense was locked in with their coverage rotations, they were communicating, and they didn't let the Saints offense get comfortable at any point. When you hold a team to zero total yards, your offense doesn't necessarily need to put up a ton of points – you just need to be solid, and 24 points was enough to get the job done.
