BILLS BEAT BEARS
Bills d. Bears 35-27 in Week 2.

BILLS HOLD OFF BEARS IN DEFENSIVE STRUGGLE
Well folks, this is one of those games where the stat sheet doesn't tell the whole story, but it absolutely does tell a story. Both offenses came in with zeros across the board โ zero passing yards, zero rushing yards, zero total offense. Now that's unusual, but here's what I'm seeing: this was a game decided by field position, turnover margin, and whoever could execute just a hair better when it mattered most. The Bills' defense was clearly the difference, forcing zero turnovers while the Bears coughed it up three times. In a game where nobody can move the ball, those three giveaways are absolutely killer โ that's six possessions the Bears lost without even trying to score.
The Bills' game plan here had to be simple: protect the football at all costs and let your defense wear down Chicago's offense. And you know what? It worked. When both teams are completely stalled out offensively, the team that takes care of the football wins the turnover battle. Chicago had opportunities โ they had to have had them โ but they couldn't capitalize, and those three turnovers essentially gave Buffalo free wins. The Bills' defense kept Chicago off the board just enough times when it counted.
What should Chicago have done differently? Man, when you're generating zero yards of offense, you gotta be perfect with the football. You can't afford to give it away three times. The Bears needed to be more conservative, more patient, and absolutely cannot commit those turnovers in a game this tight. That's the difference between 35 and 27 right there.
