JETS OUTLAST BUCCANEERS IN DEFENSIVE STRUGGLE

Look, I'll be honest with you - this game tells me everything I need to know about where both of these teams are right now. We're looking at a 23-17 final, and that score might actually be generous in terms of what we saw on the field. Both offenses came in completely shut down. Zero yards of offense for either team? That's not a typo - we're talking about two teams that couldn't find any rhythm whatsoever, whether they wanted to beat you through the air or pound it on the ground.

Here's what impresses me about the Jets in this spot: when the game is THIS ugly, when both sides are operating in a complete fog, you've got to find ways to win the field position game and capitalize on whatever breaks come your way. The Jets did that. They didn't beat themselves - zero turnovers - and they stayed disciplined enough to outlast Tampa Bay when it mattered most. In a game where offensive execution completely evaporated, that's actually the difference between winning and losing.

For Tampa Bay, you're looking at a loss that's got to sting because this was absolutely winnable. When the score is this low and the offensive output is non-existent across the board, one or two possessions - maybe one explosive play, one defensive stop that goes your way - changes everything. The Buccaneers needed to find ANY way to generate offense and couldn't do it. That's on the scheme, that's on execution, and it's a missed opportunity that they'll need to learn from going forward.
